Airports such as Brussels Airport (BRU) are obliged to implement high-standard security measures to protect their processes and operations from any attempt of illicit interference. A key element in BRU’s protection is its’23km airport security fence that protects the operations within the airfield. Our task was to find and evaluate the most modern and secure technologies out there to keep the perimeter of the airport safe.
A major Belgian First Division football club tasked us to carry out a comprehensive assessment of the security provided by its facilities. The assignment included the formulation of recommendations to improve security levels, including several short-term actions (quick-wins) to improve the security levels in a very short period of time and with limited budget.
Brussels Airport undertook a project to adapt the passenger screening to the new behaviour and needs observed in passengers. We oversaw the management of a project that included changes in technology and processes to ensure high quality service standards, through minimising queueing time and maximising the process throughput.
