eAOP visioning at Dublin Airport

Dublin Airport

Client

Dublin Airport, Dublin (Ireland)

Objective

The objective of the project was to support Dublin Airport in defining the vision and roadmap for the eAOP  (extended Airport Operations Plan) in preparation of the upcoming European call for funding. Dublin Airport sought concrete deliverables to define budget and approval requests. Additionally, as compliance audits by Civil Aviation Authorities were expected, the project focused on verifying the current status of the APOC and its use of the iAOP to identify any gaps before the iAOP project could be closed.

Airport Intelligence supported Dublin Airport in this process through a structured & phased approach, as a follow-up to an earlier project in 2022 to define the vision and scope of the iAOP (initial AOP).

Project outcome

As a result of the project, Dublin Airport achieved the following outcomes:

  • A clear, unified definition of the vision, ambition, and objectives for eAOP
  • Concrete workstreams and the identification of initial features for eAOP
  • A high-level roadmap for the eAOP implementation, with a clear timeline aiming for eAOP completion by the end of 2027
  • Concrete insights into:
    • Compliance requirements and milestones, along with a strategy for realising them
    • Defined roles and responsabilities within eAOP
    • Technical needs, including IT architecture, resources and capabilities
  • Consolidation of workshop outcomes into an executive summary, which was used for project and budget approval by management

Through this initiative, Dublin Airport gained a solid foundation for the eAOP, enabling it to move forward with a clear plan for the future.
