Vision for AOP supporting the road towards TAM for EuroAirport

Client

BSL-MUL-FRE EuroAirport, Trinational Eurodistrict of Basel

Objective

The main objective of the project was to assess the current airport’s operating model and define a comprehensive AOP vision that supports the transition towards predictive and performance-driven airport management.

The overarching goal was t oenable a seamless integration between APOC & AOP, ensuring alignment across all operational time horizons – from long term planning (D-180) to post-operations continuous improvement.

Project outcome

The project resulted in a clear, actionable and future-proof strategy to support EuroAirport’s operational transformation:

  • A comprehensive “as-is” assessment report – providing transparency on current processes, tools & collaboration mechanisms
  • A shared AOP vision – co-created with key stakeholders, enabling proactive and predictive decision-making within the APOC.
  • A gap analysis and maturity assessment – identifying priority areas and opportunities for both quick wins and long term improvements.
  • A phased and iterative implementation roadmap – ensuring gradual value creation while managing complexity and change.
  • A target governance framework – for AOP performance services, supporting continuous improvement and resilience in both normal and disrupted operations.

The approach ensured strong stakeholder engagement and alignment, building the foundations for a sustainable transformation towards integrated, data-driven and collaborative airport operations.
